About Cortec

Cortec is a World Leader in Corrosion Protection and was established in 1977, as a fledgling company working out of a garage in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. They had a vision to effectively combat the devastating effects of corrosion, while at the same time creating environmentally friendly alternatives to existing methods of corrosion protection.

Through commitment, hard work, and extensive research and development they pioneered the application and distribution of VCI (Vapour Corrosion Inhibitor) technology. Firstly developing nitrite-free multi metal VCI products, then expanding into environmentally acceptable water-based liquids to replace polluting oil/solvent-based coatings. They are now producing a multifunctional range of 500+ products, at 4 production plants in USA and 1 in Europe. They have distributors in 96 Countries over 5 Continents, with their focus firmly placed on profits, improved product quality and reduced waste and pollution.
